If you want to benefit from hypnosis it can seem like a hard process to master. When you manage it however you can learn how to relax and even train your mind to think in certain ways. If you are a novice that would like to know how to hypnotize yourself read on.
Start by deciding what you want to achieve from your hypnosis session. Do you want to relax, or do you want to suggest something to your subconscious? Once you have done this either lay or sit down somewhere that you will not be disturbed. Then close your eyes and start to breathe deeply.
Start to make all of your body relax. You might want to focus on one area at a time. If this is the case start at your toes and work your way up to the top of your head. Beginners find this stage a little strange and it can take a while to attain total relaxation, but it will come to you in time. The relaxation that you should feel will be like nothing else you have ever felt.
Then start to count backwards from 10 to 1. Do not say this out loud. As you count each number be aware that you are relaxing even further. When you get to number 1 you should be highly relaxed and into a state of hypnosis. Now you can either just rest in this state or start to focus on what you would like to achieve.
Then you need to either stay relaxed or think about what you want to put into your mind. Stay like this for as long as you want. When you want to come back ‘to’ you just have to count from 1 back up to 10. By the time you count the number 10 you will find you are wide awake and feel relaxed. Now that you know how to hypnotize yourself you can do this whenever you feel the need to.
