Learning hypnotic persuasion skills from a book can be a complex business this Persuasion Skills Black Book Review will let you know if this is the right book for you.
Whether for dating, sales, leadership or parenting persuasion skills are important. In Rintu Basu’s Persuasion Skills Black Book you are given simple hypnotic patterns that you can use in any context. The aim of the book it to provide practical persuasion skills for typical situations.
To write a comprehensive treatment on conversational hypnosis would make a long book. Rintu says in his book that the main aim was to find easy to use patterns that you can learn very fast. To this end the book is more practical than comprehensive.
Rintu has been training NLP specifically for nine years although he has been a trainer for over twelve. He is used to training both professional and personal uses of NLP Persuasion skills.
In The Persuasion Skills Black Book I found the most value was the fact that Rintu very early on gives you patterns that you can use within minutes of seeing them. He then builds these into more complex patterns that have more scope and power. What this meant for me was I could take what I had learned and apply it within minutes and then build on this.
The Persuasion Skills Black Book starts with simple patterns and guides you to logically to more complex idea taking a completely practical approach to learning. The hypnotic language patterns are clearly laid out with examples and illustrations for each pattern.
The first pattern took a little while for me to get used to. I felt that I would get caught out and that it was a little strange to say. Taking the advice from the book I spent a few minutes saying the pattern out loud before using it on someone else. The results were spectacular and very soon I found myself using the pattern without thinking about it. Very quickly I was developing new and complex language patterns of my own.
In his book Rintu states that as interest in hypnotic persuasion has risen there have been an upsurge of books and information on the subject that is often confusing and complex. Having read a few books and websites on the subject I would have to agree with him.
One thing that would make the book even better would be if Rintu had given more examples of using hypnotic persuasion patterns in written form. That said he has one very comprehensive example and sites different places where you can go to see more.
If you are looking for an in depth analysis of the hypnotic implications of various patterns and words this book will not give it to you. If you are looking for specific usable language patterns that you can instantly take away and use then this is the ideal book to use.
If persuasion skills in any context are important to you then this is an important read. Many people would benefit from this book including trainers and teachers looking to develop students, managers wanting to motivate staff, parents managing their children and singles looking for a dream date.
There would be a definite advantage in bringing out a companion volume. It is the illustrations, examples and applications that make this book work. If Rintu were to seize the opportunity to write this companion book I think it would be a great addition.
