Subliminal messages are part of our daily lives. They are simply words or images which are designed to affect a person without them knowing.

Recently, a team of researchers at Boston University in the Center for Memory and Brain research (led by a professor of psychology called Takeo Watanabe) undertook some subliminal research i.e. research into subliminal messaging and they found some very interesting things on how subliminal learning functions affects the human brain.

We generally have a very scientific view of perception: that objects exist in only in our immediate reality – which we can see, and feel, act upon due to our perception. While this is true, there’s also a gray area – where our mind takes in information but we’re not 100% aware; perhaps when you walk out of a shop singing whatever was playing on the radio, or where you know you have seen your house keys this morning, but you can remember exactly where.

Subliminal messaging is used to describe the use of either images, words, or sounds which have been embedded into some form of media.

Visual subliminal messages are usually flashed faster than the eye can see them (usually 0.25 miliseconds) see and can be flashed either pictures, or text.

Audio based subliminal messages are played at a sound frequency beyond (often below) the levels of our hearing, and they are most commonly used in as subliminal mp3 or subliminal cd format.You won’t hear these sound based messages, but they are always processed in your un-conscious mind.
